It's so darned close to the phoenix area. If it is your first time within the park ask the entry attendee for a map. Siphon draw is about 2 miles, and then you hit another trail which another 1 mile entirely steep with tons of jaggedness.
The hike to the basin is 4 miles, 1000 feet, and takes 2 to 3 hours. I recommend an early morning ascent to keep the sun out of your eyes and the heat down on the way up. You will quickly pass the junction with jacob crosscut trail before continuing on to slick rock and shortly thereafter a siphon falls.
